Amy Purcell is an Associate Professor of New Media and Design at the Art Department of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She began the Digital Art program there in 1996 and teaches a range of courses from undergraduate foundations to graduate level New Media studio based seminars. Her art work incorporates a range of media, photography, video, sound, and installation. She explores the personal, physical, and psychological connections to place and the ways in which memories are embodied in material forms. She exhibits her work nationally and internationally.
